Need advice regarding US passports?

I met a lady on a dating web site and she say that she’s an American presently in Nigeria on a visit.She now wants me to help her with some money to pay her hotel bill and return to US. She gave me her passport and visa details as proof. I have doubts on the details given and feel its a scam.My question is does US passport numbers begin with 0708xxxxx? also does Nigerian visa control numbers are on following format xxxxxAAAxxxx. Thanks

I have no idea about the passport or visa numbers, but am reasonably certain that this is a scam. I cannot imagine any legitimate reason why anyone would rely on a casual internet acquaintance for help rather than contacting family of friends. Don’t send any money either to her or to the hotel.
